The future of Mobility is being driven by transformative technologies such as Autonomous vehicles and electrification, which in turn are driving the creation and adoption of APIs. Ford has begun a journey where both consumers, vehicles, and partners navigate and consume a rich ecosystem of global APIs. While the stability and financial backing of a large OEM is invaluable, it can also lead to entangled solutions when building new businesses which require access to legacy technologies via modern APIs.

The session will highlight Ford Mobility’s approach in creating an API and DocOps culture. It will highlight our approach to internal developer portals, API specifications, style guides, and other tactics employed to improve developer experiences behind the firewall.
